In the same fashion as our Top 10 DVDs of 2007 feature, several reviewers have submitted a Top 10 Films of 2007 list. And they are just that, simple lists, submitted either in order or in no particular order.
You'll find the lists at the bottom of the page, but first, tallying up the votes there is a clear overall DVDTimes Top 10 Films of 2007 list which we’ve compiled below…
Zodiac (6 Votes)
David Fincher's first feature film in five years claimed the top spot, with 6 of our reviewers placing it in their lists.
The Bourne Ultimatum (4 Votes)
Director Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon in the lead role of the troubled Jason Bourne brought the series to a frenetic action packed close with the first of five films to make its way into 4 of our reviewers’ lists.
Eastern Promises (4 Votes)
Viggo Mortensen and Naomi Watts star in David Cronenberg's often tragic and brutal examination of the Russian Mafia in London.
Hairspray (4 Votes)
This hit musical based on the Broadway adaptation of John Water's 1988 original shook and shimmied its way onto 4 of our reviewers’ lists.
Hot Fuzz (4 Votes)
The first of three British films to make this year's list, Hot Fuzz drew in the crowds earlier this year and further established the winning formula of writer/director Edgar Wright and writer/actor Simon Pegg.
Planet Terror (4 Votes)
One half of the problematic Grindhouse project, Robert Rodriguez seemed to grasp the concept much better with this trashy, over-the-top gore-fest which also made it onto four of our reviewers’ lists.
Atonement (3 Votes)
The back four each made their way onto 3 of our reviewers’ lists. This sweeping wartime drama from director Joe Wright starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy is the second British film to make the list.
Curse of the Golden Flower (3 Votes)
The only non-English language film to make the list is Zhang Yimou's historical epic, a visually sumptuous film with commanding lead performances by Gong Li and Chow Yun-Fat.
Ratatouille (3 Votes)
While it may not hit the dizzying heights of director Brad Bird's previous outing for Pixar (The Incredibles) this charming tale shows that even when they're not at their best, Pixar can still deliver the goods.
This is England (3 Votes)
This rites of passage drama from award-winning writer/director Shane Meadows is the third British film to make the list.

Planet Terror was good, but not as good as Death Proof. I find DP more interesting and more likely to find somethng new on repeat viewings.
Apart from Ratatouille: there's nothing else that stands out for me, showing a very weak year.
Even stuff like Spider-man 3 and a personal fav franchise Rush Hour 3, were shockingly bad. Although on the blockbuster front, I think Transformers was one of the best of 2007.
My fav list:

2. Ratatouille
3. Planet Terror
4. Notes on a Scandel
5. Transformers
6. 300
7. Vacancy -?? (Well at least it's young adults - in a slasher movie!)
everything else comes second or worth very little of my time!

I still think The Fountain is the best film I've seen this year, even if it was all the way back in January. Also really liked Into The Wild and The Darjeeling Limited.

Good lists, but no one has INLAND EMPIRE in his list? what`s with that? the best film of the year by a more than a mile (note: I haven`t yet seen Atonement and American Gangster)

Look closer. INLAND EMPIRE is in my list at No. 2. Clearly a film to either love or hate. Good to see it has another fan!
